Order clerks receive and process customer requests for goods or services. They check on stock, and make sure that the customer receives the goods within the given timeframe and that the prices quoted are correct. Order clerks track delivery and follow up with the customer to check that the goods have been delivered.
When interviewing order clerks, the most suitable candidate will be motivated to satisfy customers and will work in a methodical manner to achieve that aim. They will have great communication and problem-solving skills. Be wary of candidates who are not driven to please the customer and who appear to be inflexible.

Assesses the candidate’s ability to take responsibility for an incorrectly placed order and take the necessary steps to rectify it.
